Sue
joined the BBC in 1970 as a freelance researcher and, in
1972, became one of the main presenters of the early evening
current affairs programme ‘Nationwide’. She
went on to present the ‘Nine O'Clock News’ and
the ‘Six O'Clock News’.
She
regularly presents programmes on BBC television, and has
stood in as presenter on ‘Question Time’ and
‘Wogan’, among others.
