Alison Moyet Tribute
Alison Moyet began with local punk bands
before joining up with Vince Clarke to form Yazoo. The band had a
string of hits and two albums of Electro pop before going their own
separate ways in 1983. Clarke went on to form Erasure and Moyet moved
on to a solo career.
Her first album Alf established her and
spawned several hit singles. Her appearance at ‘Live Aid’
with Paul Young increased her profile as she increased her range to
include jazz. Her biggest-ever hit was the standard That Old Devil
Called Love.
Alison Moyet took a three-year break
from recording before returning in 1991 with the Hoodoo album, including
the hit single It Won’t Be Long.
Our Alison Moyet Tribute Artiste was the 1993 'Star in Their Eyes' winner... she captures the essence of Alison
Moyet with her renditions of all the hits. Her show is also part of
the ‘Stars in their Eyes’ winning tour - a fully produced
show featuring the winners of this TV blockbuster.
