Errol Brown Tribute

Mel hails from Grenada in the West Indies and started his career in the late 60's with the highly acclaimed Birmingham band, The String Beats who toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe.

With the demise of The String Beats, Mel teamed up with Mr Superbad himself, the legendary soul rapper Freddie Mac whose cult following took Mel all over the world.

After spending many years on the road with 'The Freddie Mac Extravaganza', Mel decided to pursue a solo career. With several single releases to date, Mel is still continuing to delight soul fans up and down the country.

More recently, he has been appearing all over the country with the highly-rated theatre show 'The Classic Soul Show' with his very own tremendous tribute to Wilson Picket, as well as touring with The Soul Survivors.

Mel Day is also one of the UK's most outstanding tribute acts to Errol Brown and Hot Chocolate. He is also an accomplished soul singer, and can combine the best of Hot Chocolate's hits with an extensive mix of top soul classics.
