you can't get Whitney, Milli is the next best thing!
Milli has had a professional
career, spanning 25 years. She first joined a trio called The Variations.
She toured venues around central England, and won the EMI ‘Search
for a Star’ competition in 1977 at Bailey's Night Club, Watford.
She then joined her second group, another trio, called The Bad Girls.
During her time with the group, Milli toured the North East, Manchester
and Scotland, before joining her third group, The Divas.
Milli’s tours have
included the whole of the UK, Ireland, Spain, Gibraltar, Malta, Canary
Islands, Istanbul, Los Angeles, Germany, Brussels, Amsterdam, Norway,
Austria, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Sweden, Washington DC, CSE
Tours, Dubai, Bharain, Qatar, and Muscat.
In 1991, Milli spent one
month recording a solo album in Los Angeles. Milli also recorded a
single in Blackwing Studios both in March 1993 and January 1997. In
1993 it was the start of the Whitney Houston look-alike and sound-alike
show, and Milli opened Virgin Megastores and Radio Promotions in Amsterdam
and Germany. Milli has also been involved in the launching of the
latest models from the following motor companies: Mercedes Benz, Vauxhall,
Nissan, VW, Audi, Mazda, Renault, Toyota and Subaru.
In November 1997 Milli
took her Look-alike career even further with the Tina Turner Show.
Throughout her career,
Milli has supported many famous artistes, including
Dionne Warwick, David Essex, Leo Sayer, Roy Walker, The Grumbleweeds,
Jimmy Jones, Mike Reid, Freddie Star, Jim Davidson, Lenny Henry, Gary
Wilmot, Bob Monkhouse, The Real Thing, Tommy Cooper, Shane Richie,
Bradley Walsh, Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown, Phil Cool, The Drifters,
Heatwave, Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Jimmy Cricket, Roy Wood (Wizard),
and many others.
Her television
appearances include ‘New Faces’ (runner-up),
1988, hosted by Marti Caine. ‘Crossroads’ (receptionist
for one year), ‘Angels’, ‘Bulman’, ‘Crown
Court’, ‘No Problem’, ‘The Illustrated Wednesday
Review Comedy Show’, ‘The Big Breakfast’ (Channel
4), ‘Central Weekend Live’ (Carlton TV), BBC Midlands
, Central TV on ‘Pop-Elgangers’ (Broadcast-NYE-2001),
Cactus TV, ITV'S 'Stars and Their Doubles' hosted by Des O'Connor
- March 2002.
Her other appearances
include the Savvas Night Club (Usk) Wales , London Palladium
(with her own dancers), Lakeside Country Club-Surrey, Circus Tavern-Essex,
residency for one year at the Birmingham Night Out Theatre, Butlins,
Pontins, Caesars Palace-Luton, Warner Hotels, plus many corporate
events at hotels spanning the world, such as the Dorchester, Waldorf,
Heathrow Marriott and London Marriott, Grosvenor London, Hilton Park
Lane, Carlton Hyatt's, Studley Castle, Eastnor Castle, Pinewood Studios,
etc. Milli's more recent venues include the NEC-Birmingham, ICC-Birmingham,
Madame Tussauds and Alexandra Palace-London.
Her corporate
