Alistair
McGowan
The
three series of ‘Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression’
(BBC1) have taken the public by storm and have won a British comedy
award for Best Comedy and Entertainment Programme.
Alistair has also found
time to film and record a range of other programmes. He has stood
in for Terry Wogan on ‘Points of View’ (BBC1), interviewed
other impersonators as Michael Parkinson on ‘Night of 1000 Faces’
(BBC1), discussed his comedic influences on ‘Talking Comedy’
(BBC Radio), created voices for ‘Ripley & Scuff’ (The
Children’s Co) and presented a documentary about the human voice,
‘I’d Know That Voice Anywhere’ for BBC Radio 4.
A trained actor, Alistair
played Serge in ‘Art’ and many will remember him fondly
for his role as Spock in BBC1’s ‘Preston Front’.
