Cascada
Cascada is a German eurodance group formed in 2004. The band consists of singer Natalie Horler along with record producers DJ Manian and Yanou. They have to date sold an estimated 13 million copies of their three albums worldwide.
The band first found international success in 2005 with the single “Everytime We Touch” which reached the Top10 of numerous charts internationally, peaking at No.10 in the U.S (earning a double Platinum certification), No.2 in the U.K and Canada (earning a Platinum certification for the latter) and No. 1 in Sweden, going Platinum and becoming one of the best selling songs in Swedish pop music history. Cascada followed up this success with second single “Truly Madly Deeply,” which reached No.4 in the U.K. and the Top10 across Europe. As a result of the huge success of these two singles the band’s debut album, also titled Everytime We Touch reached No. 2 in the U.K, selling over 600,000 copies and earning a double Platinum certification. Cascada followed Everytime We Touch in 2007 with second album Perfect Day, which contained the Top10 U.K hit “What Hurts The Most,” which was also highly successful in the U.S, gaining a Gold certification. The album again sold very well, earning another Platinum disc for the group in the U.K.
The band’s most recent success has come with third album Evacuate the Dancefloor, released in 2009. Its title track mirrored the success of Everytime... and became a huge global smash, reaching the No.1 position in the U.K. (where it is now certified Silver) and peaking at No.25 in the U.S. earning the band its third U.S Platinum disc. Due to the success of the song, and its follow up “Fever” which reached the U.K. No.4 spot, the album entered the U.K Top10 at No.8, becoming the band’s third consecutive Platinum selling album in the U.K.
