Chris Hoy
Chris Hoy is a three time Olympic Gold medal winning track cyclist. In addition to this he is nine times world champion, two times Commonwealth champion and is recognised as the most successful male Olympic cyclist of all time, winning silver in Sydney in addition to his Beijing gold wins.
Hoy began his career in competitive cycling aged 7 where he raced BMX bikes, going on to become Scottish champion and world number nine. In addition to this he became a member the Scottish rowing team, going on to win silver at the British Championship however soon decided to focus on cycling, joining the most successful track club in the country, the City of Edinburgh Racing Club.
Hoy is a committed patron of The Braveheart Cycling Fund, which raises funds to assist young Scottish cyclists. The charity has raised over £100,000 in the last four years, helping numerous individuals achieve their potential.
As an ambassador of the London Olympics Chris’s motivational speaking deals with maintaining single minded focus and harnessing determination.
