The Stars From The Commitments
The Stars From The Commitments is an Irish soul group based on the fictional band that appeared in the 1991 Alan Parker film The Commitments.
The band formed shortly after the release of the film and features two of the actors to star in the film, Dick Massey (drums) and Kenneth McCluskey (Bass). The group have played over 1,500 shows globally and have performed to over 6 million people. They have had the honour of sharing the stage with soul legends including: BB King, Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Sam Moore and Ben E King. The band have also performed to Royalty the world over, including Presidents, Prime Ministers and Kings and Queens the world over with their unique Irish soul music.
They continue to tour globally to great continued success.
