The Roaring
20’s
The
Charleston was a social dance of the United States, popular in the
mid 1920's. The Charleston is characterised by outward heel kicks
with an up and down movement achieved by bending and straightening
the knees in time to the rhythm of ragtime jazz. The steps are thought
to have originated with the black people living on a small island
near Charleston, S.C., hence the name.
Combined with wonderful
costumes in keeping with the age of the Charleston, this show is guaranteed
to entertain, and bring back memories of a bygone era.
The show is also fully
contained with all production and can be adapted to suit any venue
and is available for theatre bookings and corporate events.
