Aerosmith Tribute Band
Toxic
Twins formed during summer 2000, when Frank J. and Terry, who had
been already playing in a band together, met Aaron at a gig in a North
London venue. The common love for Aerosmith and the affinity in the
musical taste brought the three to the idea of forming an Aerosmith
Tribute Band. Toxic Twins were starting to take shape: Aaron vocals,
Frank J. guitar and Terry bass. The other two twins were very soon
found: Dom on guitar and Will on drums, and by the end of the year
Toxic Twins were ready to rock!
When things were starting to work, during summer 2001 Aaron was forced
to leave the band after an operation to his throat, and Toxic Twins
were challenged with the hard task of finding another Steven Tyler.
After meeting many singers they eventually bump into John, a very
experienced rock singer who had just left another tribute band based
in the States to return to the UK. Shortly after, Will leaves the
band to carry on with an original project he had going on for a while.
Luckily, it wasn't long before Toxic Twins met Noam 'Nono', and knew
he was the right drummer for them. But changes hadn't finished yet.
At the end of February 2002 James replaces Dom as Brad Whitford. The
singer is also replaced in July 2002, when Luke (already singer with
Eurosmith, the Oldest Italian Aerosmith Tribute Band) takes over the
position.
The uncanny vocal and
physical resemblance of Luke to Steven Tyler had brought the Twins
to ask him to join the band and perfect their act. The actual performance
level and professional attitude have gained the Toxic Twins a reputation
as one of the best tribute acts in the country.
