80’s Live - The Ultimate Retro Concert

Long live 80’s Live. Long live cheesey sing-a-longs. Long live people knowing how to properly have a good time on a Tuesday night in London. Great work guys.

I can only give it five stars. The evidence is in front of my eyes and ears and feet and emotions. It’s a great night out. Wherever you are in the country, get yourself a ticket and ‘go-go’ along.

You’ll remember this night for a very long time to come. Superb.

80s Live! - Review - Adelphi Theatre

The singers – Sid Sims, Bryan Humphrey, Wayne Smith, Karin Latham. Rachel Johnson – and the band – David Waller (Drums), Stuart Darling (Keys), Rory Padfield (Guitar) – perform more than 20 iconic songs like “Venus”, “Take on Me”, “It’s raining men”, “Like a Virgin”, “Tainted love”, “Video killed the Radio star”. The five vocalists all have a great stage presence and interact with the audience, encouraging participation. Not a difficult task: the songs will get you up and dancing from the beginning to the end.

REVIEW: 80s Live had Aberdeen spinning right round at a colourful P&J Live

Ripping through the decade at high octane speed in the ultimate mash-up, the set list had it all.

This might as well have been a standing gig, as there wasn’t a single bum in seat as the entire lively audience took the the aisles, glowsticks in the air, to get in to the groove to classics by Rick Astley, Duran Duran, The Human League and just about every other larger-than-life 80’s icon imaginable.

80s Live Review - Maryam Bououden, Prince Henry’s Grammar School

The singers engaged with the audience in an interactive manner, encouraging them to belt out the lyrics to their favourite 80s songs with gusto! The audience were bright and bubbly, determined to have fun.

In the interval, the audience flocked to the bar to get a refreshing drink after dancing their socks off. The bright costumes the audience were wearing mirrored those of the performers, with their vivid tutus and makeup! It was apparent to all that everybody was enjoying the show!
